FOR 1908 On account of the advance in the cost of paper, increased wages, etc , we have found it necessary to announce that the price of The Ledger after January 1st, 1908, will be $ 1.50. We have striven to avoid taking this step, and for years have furnished our readers with a semi-weekly paper at a price that was indeed too 'ow when the cost of production was taken into consideration. This step has been •determined upon after mature delibera tion. Subscriptions will be received at the old rate of $1.00 from now until De cember 31 st, but after that date the rate will be $1.50 in advance. Now is the time to subscribe—only $1.00 a year.
