and Mrs. Petty will move to the city

tion of growing Gaffney.
O. .1. Wall has sold his property
adjoining Mrs J. L. Spake to Joe
Spake and hits bought the cottage of
Vick Spurgeon on Oakland avenue.
Mr. Spurgeon will at once build a
morp commodious brick house on
corner of the same avenue and West
Frederick street. He will give Mr.
Wall possession about the first of
September.

Poag. of Rock- Hill, from WVidmf*-
day’s Rock Hill Herald:
"Yesterday morning at 9 o’clock
at the horn** of the bride’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs W. T. Poag, Miss Mar
garet Lee Poag became the happy
bride of Mr. R. 0. Swafford, a pro
gressive voting business man of
Gaffney. Tin* ceremony was a very
sweet and impressive one and was
performed by Dr. W. B. Duncan,
pastor of St. John's church. Only a
few near relatives wen 1 present to
witness the ceremony.
"Miss poag, the bride, was a favor
ite throughout this community, but
for tit** past two years she has been
employed as the valued stenographer
of Mr. J. O. Jefferies, of Gaffney.
She is a graduate of Winthrop Ool-
h-gc having graduate*! from the class
of 190a.
"Miss Willi** McFadden, of this
city was maid of honor wliil(> Mr.

man.
