team gave a highly entertaining and

Daniels and showed that they had

line. The audience from town was
not what it should have been, but
we are sure when the young men
visit us again thev will be greeted

the charge of gambling. Some nine
or ten having been caught in the act

De Monterille Smith, known to

A New Street.
Through the efforts of Sam Fort,

M. Gedd -s have deed to the citv coun.-

the northern section of the city. The
new' street will be called Phifer
street and will run from Limestone
street to the Providence road, con
necting thn two and making a short
er route. This new street has long
been needed and op r ms up a n’ce lot
of most desirable city property. It
is t le old baseball ground property.
Th' 1 Ledger understands that several
parties have an eye on this property
and It is not at all unlikely that a
big manufacturing enterprise will be
built on it in the n^ar future.

that previously found makes $803.85
