18 months ago by wise men that the
task was impossible; 18 months
from now they will wonder why they
ever tolerated it.
The death of the dispensary is as
sured. The senate’s majority may

for third reading, hut the bill will |
pass. Some think there will be an
even larger majority to its credit.
Senator Townsend was not present
yesterday, but, on the presumption
that he opposed the bill, his friends
secured a pair with Senator McKeith
an. It is believed that Senator Town
send will support the amended bill
Monday.
The two houses have now passed
the bill. The following Is the correct
vote in the house of representatives,
there having been an error in the
formerly published list with refer
ence to the names of Dr. Miller and
Messrs. Banks and Wimberly.
