IWiT We were courteously treated by the gen tlemen in eiiarge of the work and obtained the following information: There will be 1300 feet of flooring, but the cost of construction, we be lieve would not exceed the con struction of a bridge at another point on the river. We find the driveways over the dam to be 1055 feet; that at an estimated cost of $1500 a drive- wav can be constructed across what is termed the powerhouse dam; that it. wifi require an expenditure of $800 for piers and abutments on the main dam in additon to the cost of the steel bridge; which would have to be erected over the spillway; that, it will require an expenditure of not more to construct the driveway remainder of the main therefore, would mean an of $3300 in addition to proper, but this amount cost of construction of the It Quiets the Cough This is one reason why Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral is so valua ble in consumption. In addition we found that a road could bo opened up to the bridge from both sides of the river at a very moderate cost. The higli elevation of the dam makes the approaches com pai ativel .■ easy and the grade could be made a very light one. The construction of this bridge would open up what is now practicallv an undeveloped territory and would prove a great convenience to th people residing in the Buffalo s etion of Cherokee county, and while the cost might b>' some greater than that of a bridge at some other point, still, we believe that the hen fits to lie de rived from such a bridge would more than compensate for such cost We, therefore, recommend the ('(instruct ion of this bridge.
