\ / This man bought a supply of tobacco with out acquainting himself with the distinctive taste of SCHNAPPS Tobacco, which has the cheering qualities that gratify his desire to chew, and at less expense than cheap tobacco. SCHNAPPS has been advertised in this paper so that every chewer has had an opportunity to get acquainted with the facts and know that drugs are not used w to produce the cheering quality found in the famous Piedmont country flue-cured tobaccos, and that SCHNAPPS is what he ought to chew. Still there are chewers who accept other and cheaper tobaccos that do not give the same, pleasure. Some day they’ll get a taste of the real Schnapps—they’ll realize what enjoyment they’ve missed by not getting SCHNAPPS long ago—then they’ll feel like kicking themselves. SCHNAPPS is sold everywhere in 5 cent cuts, and 10 and 15 cent plugs. Be sure you get the genuine. Billv Sunday, who recently conclud ed his revival meetings at Kewanee, says that some amusements are good and some are bad. He has divided them as follows: Good—Base ball. golf, tennis, check ers, chess, crokinole, foot ball. Bad—Dancing. Card playing, gamb ling, average theatricals, prize fight ing of all kinds. He said nothing about "Copenha gen.” which is a very innocent and beautiful game. He should have in cluded this among the good. And there is fox and geese; and what about poker dice, a very innocent, but delusive game? “Fly Loo,” where the contestants range themselives in a line, each with a lump of sug^j - , and the man who holds the lump on which the first fly lights is the best fellow. All these are diversions high ly soothing to the innocent soul. So is the moulding of animals from chewing gum. The list might be ex tended, and we trust that Bill will revise it himself, so that we shall know just when we an- having enjoy able fun and when we are serving the devil. NOTICE OF FINAL DISCHARGE. I A Square Deal Is assured you when you buy one of Dr. Pierce’s family medicines—for all the in gredients entering info them are printed on the bo Hie-wrappers and their formula are attested under oath as tieing complete and correct. You know just what you are paying for and that the ingredients are gathered from Nature’s laboratory, being selected from the most valuable native medicinal roots found growing in our American forests and while potent to cure are perfectly harmless even to the most delicate women and children. Not a drop of alcohol enters into their composition. A much better agent is used both for ex trading and preserving the medicinal princiules used in them, viz.—pure triple- refined glycerine. This agent possesses intrinsic medicinal properties of its own, being a most valuable anti-septic and anti ferment, nutritive and soothing demul cent. Glycerine plays an important part in Dr. f’ierce’s Golden Medical Discovery In the enre of indigestion, dyspepsia and weak stomach, attended by sour risings, heart-burn, foul breath, coated tongue, poor appetite, gnawing feeling in stom ach, biliousness and kindred derange ments of the stomach. liver and bowels. Besides curing all the atmve distressing ailments, the "Golden Medical Discovery” is a specific for all diseases of the mucous membranes, as catarrh, whether of the nasal passages or of the stomach, bowels or pelvic organs. Even in its ulcerative stages it will yield to this sovereign rem edy if Its use he persevered in. In Chronic Catarrh of the Nasal passages, it is well, while taking the "Golden Medical Dis covery ” for the necessary constitutional treat ment, to cleanse the passages freely two or three times a day with Dr. Sage’s Catarrh Remedy. This thorough course of treatment generally cures the worst cases. In roughs and hoarseness caused by bron chial, throat and lung affections, except con sumption in lis advanced stages, the "Golden Medical Discovery” is a most efficient rem edy, especially in those obstinate, hang-on coughs caused by irritation and congestion of the bronchial mucous membranes. The " Dls- , covery ” is not so good for acute coughs arls- i lug from sudden colds, nor must it be ex pected to cure consumption In its advanced Stages -no medicine will do that—but for all the obstinate, chronic coughs, which. If neg looted, or badly treated, lead up to consump tion. It Is the best medicine that can be taken.
