Women as Weii as Men
Are Made Miserable by
Kidney Trouble.
Kidney trouble preys upon the mind. diS'
3»uragcs and lessens ambition; beauty, vigor
and cheerfu'ness soon
disappear when the kid
neys are out of order
or diseased.
Kidney trouble has
become so prevalent
~\] that it is not uncommon
H for a child to be born
afflicted with weak kid-
* neys. If the child urin
ates too often, if the
avtate scalds the flesh or if, when the child
reaches an age when it should be able to
eoittrol the passage, it is yet af.licted with
bed-wetting, depend upon it. the cause of
the difficulty is kidney trouble, and the firs*
step should be towards the treatment of
these important organs. This unpleasant
trouble is due to a diseased condition of the
kidneys and bladder and not to a habit as
most people suppose.
Women as well as men are made mis
erable with kidney and bladder trouble,
and both need the same great remedy.

Ravenna, ftec. 18.—Rev. W. E.
Crocker, missionary to China, and
who is spending a short vacation
here, accompanied by Mrs Crocker,
nrcached a very interesting sermon
at Croucher last Sunday Mr Crock
er is a wed educated man and knows
how to ably handle the missionary
work. As he so beautifully illustrat
ed in his lecture. A well filled house
greeted the speaker.
Just after Mr. Crocker's fine mis
sionary sermon. Rev. F. C. Hickson,
nastor of church, delivered a beau
tiful address, giving some interesting
figures of this cl rch during his pas
toral of eleven : ears. Your corres-
pondent was pres- nt and never saw a
more serious congregation as Mr.
Hickson was speaking and a pin could
have been heard strike the floor, as
everything was so still and quiet.
During Mr. Hickson’s pastorate one
hundred and fifty have been bantized
and many received by letter. Sever
al times during these eleven years
have dark and gloomy times been
passed. But Mr| Hickson has been
r- v ady always with his ever-ready
help and has never, as we know,
ever failed to do his duty. A resolu
tion was read and adopted, praising
Mr. Hickson for his faithful and en
ergetic work which he has so ably
carried out. Goucher has lost its
"tost loved pastor and Mr. Hickson’s
place is one that will be very hard
to fill. Wherever he goes, our heart
felt. sympathies follow him and we
hope some sweet day to be abe to
bear hitiT preach again. A collection
was at once started to present Mr.
Hickson with a nice present, hut as
left before th - congregation was
dismissed, we are not able to say
how much was raised. After Mr.
Hickson’s lecture was over, the
Lord’s Supper was partaken of and
today’s services leaves Goucher with

There is a great deal of moving
and changing of residence in our mill

marriage. So much so that it will
be impossible for your “Uncle Gum”

We will be thankful to anyone who

There has recently been installed
in the mill a new machine for mak
iug bands for the spinning and spoo]
ing frames which is. perhaps, the
most, perfect machine of its kind that
has ever been invented. It winds off
its thread, doubles and twists it and
cuts the strings off the proper length
and bangs them up all ready for use,
all by itself. All the attendance it
needs is some one to start it in the
morning and stop it at night. In fact
it does everything by itself except go
up stairs and get Us own bobbing and
set it it]).
We would suggest to Superinten
dent Buice that, if he could manage
to invent an attachment to it to en
able it to go up stairs and get its own
bobbing-and set it up. he would have
the thing perfectly complete.

Or servants Him to obey.
Yet empires of earth awaited Him.
