The Closing of the City Schools.
On Friday morning the closing ex
ercises of the Gaffney Graded Schools
will take place in the Star Theatre.
Dr. Davis, of Greenville, will make
the address to the graduating class.
The work of the school this session
has been highly satisfactory. Both
teachers and pupil have labored faith
fully and their efforts have met with
success. Dr. Davis is a most pleas
ing speaker and the idea" of Superin
tendent McArthur in having a clos
ing exercises is one that should com
mend itself to the trustees of the
school and be adheared to in the
future.
The actual work at the school is
about finished and the little folks, as
well as the big ones, are glad that
vacation time is at hand . We hope
thev will enjoy their well-earned rest
from their books and that the be
ginning of the next session may
find them better prepared to go on
with their labor.
