this store. Men may find here the
latest and best in Oxfords and
other low-cut shoes—low cut in

only high thing here is the ceiling
and the quality of the goods I sell.
Prices are nowhere near the ceiling.

The Cowardly Pistol-Toter.
(Saluda Standard.)
A hotel proprietor in Gaffney car
ried a pistol in his dining room; a
young man in Lee county carried a
pistol to a dance. Both th ft carriers
of deadly weapons offended women
and slew those who attempted their
protection. What further evidence is
needed that the habitual carriers of
concealed deadly weapon* are cow
ards?—Aiken Recorder.
Our esteemed contemporary seems
to view pistol-toters and defamers of
women in about the same light—and
hp cannot be far wrong, either—only
with the odds in favor of the cowardly
plstol-toter.
