AT PERSONAL PARAGRAPHS. la Clarence Pinson, Thirty Years Old, Meets a Horrible Fate while On His Way to Visit Hs Parents. Clarence Pinson, a young white man about 30 years of age, was killed by a train at Blacksburg, eight miles from Gaffney, Monday night about 8 or 9 o'clock. News of the accident reached this city Tuesday and from what was gathered, it seems the young man, who resided in Cleveland county. North CaroJina, had alighted from a train while on his way to visit his father when the train struck him. He was the only son of James Pinson, who lives four miles from Blacksburg. The accident occurred opposite the railroad shops on the main line of the Charleston division of the Southern Railway. A widow and four children survive the unfortu-| nate voung man. There is a strong condemnation by the people of South Carolina of the | bloody killing which occurred at Gaff ney last Friday. Taking the, cause of the killing into consideration, it was the bloodiest crime committed in South Carolina in many a day.
