CHEROKEE COURT.
Convened Yesterday and Will Con
tinue for Three Weeke.
The court of general sessions for
Cherokee county convened in the
courthouse here yesterday morning,
with Judge Klugh presiding. Solici
tor Sease was present at the open
ing; and several attorneys from out of
town are In attendance. There is a
full docket for this term, and the ses
sion will continue for three weeks.
The following cases were taken up
and disposed of yesterday.
State vs. George Camp, two cases
of arson, continued.
State vs. Nancy, Otis and Brisco
Duncan, arson, nol pressed.
Town Council of Gaffney vs. Na
than Jefferies and Jim Belt, appeal,
affirmed.
The State vs. Monroe Goudetock,
selling liquor, no bill.
The State vs. James Littlejohn,
house breaking and larceny, true bill.
The State vs. Forest Jackson, as
sault and battery with intent to kill,
true bill.
Towr Council of Gaffney vs. Albert
Jefferies, appeal, affirmed.
The State vs. Wm. Blueshirt, mur
der, true bill.
The State vs. Sam’l Camp and
Dan Robbs, selling booze, true bill.
The State vs. E. H. Durham, sell
ing liquor, two cases, true bills.
The State vs. Arthur Hasty, assault
and battery with intent to kill, true
bill.
The case of Forest Jackson for as
sault and battery with intent to kill
was taken up just before dinner re
cess.
His Arm Broken.
William Fort, a little son of Dr.
and Mrs. W. A. Fort, of this city, had
one of his arms broken Friday by
falling from a wagon near the old
National bank building on Grenard
street. The little fellow was takeu
to his home near by, where his in
juries were attended to by tender
hands, and he is now progressing
favorably.
