WHO TIED THE DOG LOOSE?
These are questions that don t interest the public to any great extent, but the
question that is important to all is, “Where can I get the best values for my
hard-earned dollar?" Buying for two stores in large quantities for Spot Cash
enables us to get the rockiest of Rock Bottom prices. Selling the same way
enables us to quote you goods at the very closest possible margifis. Be wise
and visit THE BATTERY before you part with your cash, and we promise
you will^not be sorry. OUR MOTTO : Undei buy and Undersell, one price
to all and your money back every time if you become dissatisfied with any
purchase. Just as good Goods at The Battery as any place: just a little
cheaper, that’s all. : : : ; • . > .
The police officers are having an
easy time these days; though they
are ever vigilant. There was not a . _
ingle Saturday or Sunday sinner be- 0
fore the mayor yesterday morning;
nor have there been any cases of
much consequence in his court for a
long time.

Tomorrow night we are to have “In
Old Madrid.” We have not seen any
criticisms of this show but have been
told that it is a good one. We can
not vouch for this, however, as we
have not seen it. What one person
considers a good show another may
not like.
Thursday night we are to have
“Hooligan’s Troubles.” This show
has been here before. Some of the
criticisms of it have been serve,
others favorable. It is one of those
shows in which the effort is made to
create laughter rather than to draw
a tear. One of the advance notices
says:
“The prettiest girls, ihe best come
dians, the greatest buckwing clog
dancers, the sweetest singers and all
the latest songs are coming with
“Hooligan’s Troubles.” At opera
