Cotton has gone back to ten cents
again on the Gaffney market. The

ton to town that day refused the price
and some of it was hauled back home.
During tho month of September
2,1.’»0 hales of cotton were sold in

rons may receive their papers more
regularly, and we hope it will prove
more satisfactory to them than the old
way. If any one fail to receive his
paper regularly, he should notify us
at once, so that we may take proper
steps to remedy the trouble.
A Vancouver Prize Baby.
The following news item from the
Sunday Oregonian, Portland, Oregon,
will doubtless prove interesting to
many Gaffney people, as the happy
father named therein. Mr. Herbert
Chambars, was once a resident of
this city:
"A little traveler, born at Manila
two years and one month ago, and
now a resident of Vancouver,
Wash., where her father, S. H. Cham
bers, is engaged in the Chief Quarter
master’s office at the Barracks, won
the prize at the Exposition baby show
for being the prettiest baby of her age
there. Aileen Margaret Chambers is
as healthy as she is pretty, and she
weighs 34 pounds.’"
