Gored By a Cow.
Last Tuesday Master Carroll, the
twelve-year-ol.l son of Mr, and Mrs.
Wm. (Chris) Phillips, went out to the
stable to put a chain around the horns
of the cow to teter her out. While in
the act of fastening the chain the
cow suddenly raised her head sticking
one of her horns through the right
breast of the boy, inflicting a painful
wound. It is not thought the cow
meant to injure the lad as she made
no further effort to hurt him. Master
Carroll was resting well yesterday
and the wound appeared to be doing
as well as could be expected.
