Kditor Gaffney Ledger:—I think it due you and your people to keep you informed as to how we are progress ing with our railroad matter. Our charter has been complied with and the company organized and we are now actively at work preparing for elections to bo held on bonds in the early days of August. No surveys have been made, nor will be until after the bond elections have been held. The people are manifesting much interest in the matter of bonds, routes, etc., and the prospect is extremely encouraging. One of our recently acquired wealthy citizens is up north at this time and expects to bring back a friend of his with large capital and with much ex perience in the construction of simi lar lines, and we will try hard to in terest him.
