R. L. Watkins, of Rutherford county,
N. bought the Spake lands in Cleve
land county, sometime ago, instead of
Roily Haynes, as was previously stat
ed in The Ledger.
Mr. Hidden, of Newark, N. J., who
was in this section some time since
getting nil Information about the old
Betchtler mint that was operated at
Rutherfordton, N. C., years ago , is I
again in Gaffney, having arrived from
the north yesterday.
Albert Lipscomb has begun the erec
tion of a handsome and commodious
residence on Montgomery street. The
foundation has been built and the
work will he completed at an early j
day. When completed it will he one
of the prettiest buildings in that part
the city.
