Mrs.Chester Curry
one wornau in twenty-five but what
suffers with some derangement of the
female organism, and this is the secret
>f so many unhappy homes.
No woman can be amiable, light
hearted and happy, a joy to her hus
band and children, and perform the
duties incumbent upon her, when she is
suffering with backache headache,
nervousness, sleeplessness, bearing,
down pains, displacement of the womb,
spinal weakness or ovarian troubles.
Irritability and snappy retorts take
the place of pleasantness, and all sun
shine is driven out of the home, and
lives are wrecked by woman's great
enemy—womb trouble.

Catarrh of the
Stomach.
For many years it has been supposed that
Catarrh of the Stomach caused indigestion
and dyspepsia, but the truth is exactly tho
opposite. Indigestion causes catarrh. Re-|

mucous membranes lining the stomach and
exposes the nerves of the stomach, thus caus

the juices of natural digestion. This is
called Catarrh of the Stomach.

Now York, .May 17.—-Weather condi
tions ear!> today were much more la-
vorable Jo. a start of tho yachts in
the tiaus-Atlantic race than on yester
day. Jim before 8 o’clock the wind
was blowing 8 knots an hour from the
northwest, the skj was cloudy and the
air clear. At that time it wos possi
ble io observe objects ten miles away.
The Sandy Hook lightship could be
1 .ainly seen from the Highlands of
Nave, in k.
The thick blanket of rog which made
maneuvering about the starting point.
Sandy Hu .k lightship, so hazardous
y> sterd;.y that the committee in charge;
of tho event, postponed it, disaplpeftfed j
during the nicht. The northwester |
had subsided to an 8-knot breeze.
The weather, however, still remain
ed cloudy and sullen as if loathe to let
the yachts leave these shores without
suit of a preliminary tussle with a reg
ular north Atlantic storm.
When the committee postponed yes
terday’s race it was planned to {start
the event today as soon as possible
with the preparatory gun at noon.
Preparations to carry out this pro
gram were bigun early, the committee
tug reaching Sandy Hook at 8:Uu,
three and a half hours before the
event was scheduled to start.
The tug at once started on a tour
among the yachts of the fleet. It
seemed almost certain at that time
that there would be no postponement
today.
The only "essel missing in the fleet
in Sandy Hook bay at D o’clock was
Lord llrasey’s Sunbeam. The other
ten were anchored there waiting the
arrival of the steam craft to tow them
to the start.
Shortly after 10 o’clock the commit
tee in charge of the race hoisted the
signal “Get ready for sea,” and the
American yachts began leaving the
bay. Tho first one to follow the Va.-
iialla and the Sunbeam out to the start
was Commodore Tod’s White Thistle,
closely follow d by the yawl Ailsa.
Tugs were al mgside of several other
boats. By 10:10 O'clock tue en:
th et was away to starting line at San
dy Hook lightship.
The Fleur de Lys was the only boat :
tliat did not have the services of a
tug. The weather began to thicken
[ ui) again and it looked as if there
[ might lie a return of yesterday's fug. j
Observance from shore was cut down
to a matter of six or eight miles. Tm
wind held true and still blew aboit;
seven knots.
At 11 o’clock because of tho log
the lightship from which the start
was to be* made could not be seen I'rom
shore.

What to Do.
There is comfort in the knowledge so
often expressed, that Dr. Kilmer’s Swamp-
Root, the great kidney remedy fulfills every
wish in curing rheumatism, pain in the
back, kidneys, liver, bladder and every part
of the urinary passage. It corrects inability
to hold water and scalding pain in passing
it, or bad effects following use of liquor,
wine or beer, and overcomes that unpleasant
necessity of being compelled to go often
during the day, and to get up many times
during the night. The mild i*nd the extra-
sum h west was given to devotional ex
ercises. The report of the committee
of nine, appointed at a conference in
New York last January recommending
permanent organization was then read
by Chairman K. M. Thresher, of Ohio.
A general discussion followed.
