PPews reached this city yesterday after noon that the youngest son of Rev. W. A. Btogerf, of Spartanburg, accidentally shot himself through the head about 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon and died in a few hours. Mrs. Rogers was away from home at the time, and at the time the message was sent to friends at this place Mr ptiogers, the father, was uneonscioi a from the shock. There were no particulars further than the above. His Horse Fell. Yesterday as Col. Sam Jefferies was riding along the street in front of the Wilkins-Bristow Clothing Co., his horse stumbled upon a brick lying in the street and fell,, throwing his rider to the ground. Mr. Jefferies was considerably shocked by the fall; but was soon able to go on to his home in a buggy, and we hope he may experience no serious in- convtnience from his accident.
