SARRATT LIMESTONE’S OPENING. MONAZITE Bought all during the year at highest prices. Over a Hundred Pupils Registered First Morning. All Gaffney Is proud of the grand opening of the fall session at Lime stone College. The girls began to arrive Monday afternoon and move down to the College. Tuesday every train brought in more, but when No. 40 came in at night it brought scores of them. They all went at once to the college, where they were given a hearty greeting by Dr. Lodge and the faculty, and went into the enjoyment of the ample provision that had been made for their comfort. Wednesday the trains continued to bring the girls to us, twenty-four com ing in on the afternoon train from the south. They, like the others, went directly to the College and were cor dially received by the faculty and the host of pupils who had preceded them. Thursday morning when work began 108 boarding pupils enrolled and were present to begin their work of the session. And others came in yesterday and their names were ad ded to the long list of names of those who had preceded them. We are all delighted at the splendid opening at Limestone College and are extending our hands to greet the girls that will come in today and almost every day for the next ten days. The faculty at Limestone College is as able as at any college in the State, the standard of the College is the highest, and the arrangements for the comfort of the girls are ideal. There is nothing for the girls to do but to pursue their studies, and that they do that, is shown by the results of the work of grand old Limestone for more than half a century. All are full of praise for the doctor, his lectures, and believe fully in the sincerity of his motives, and we hope our people will heed his advice. Doctor Tracy’s work in Gaffney cannot fail to help us, if we give any attention to the wonderful truths that he tells and illustrates.
