Published Tuesday and Friday
by
Ed H. DeCamp.
The Ledger is not responsible for
the views of correspondents.
Correspondents who do not contri

but for identification.
Obituraries will be published at
five cents a line.
All correspondence should be ad-

We invariably discontinue sending
The Ledger when a subscription runs
out, for we have no way of knowing
that a person wants it except by re
ceiving his or her renewal. We ur
gently solicit a prompt renewal, on
the ground that the paper is worth
the money. We are trying month
by month to make it better and bet

making the occasion a most glorious
one. If we Intend to celebrate let’s |
do it right, and not go about it in a

so that Yorkville, Kings Mountain,
Shelby, Blacksburg and Gaffney could
form a league and play a series of
games it would furnish a great deal

While speaking of this newspaper
the other day a man remarked: “The

worth the money, but I don’t take it
because I don’t like the editor.” May
the Lord bless and broaden your lit

stop to think that you are not the

Did you ever reflect that you are not

there, too were friends and loved
ones; all come together in one
common cause—to honor and keep
in memory those great and grand
men who forty odd years ago
fought so bravely for our dear
old Southland, and to commemorate
those great and noble deeds which
