E. church, South, has been changed from 7:15 to 8 o’clock. W. V. Humphries & Co. have their stock arranged handsomely in their new furniture store on Limestone j street. The grass that was planted on the lawn between the city hall and the court hone is beginning to show up | prettily. Gaffney can boast of as many pretty girls as any city in the State, and with Limestone College girls ad ded she is a winner over all. Thompson Robbs has built a fine brick barn on his place in West Bu ford street, where his wooden one was accidentally burned a few weeks ago. There will be a meeting of the Knights of Pythias next Monday ; night. A full attendance of members is desired, as important business will be before the lodge. Ray LeMaster, son of Mr. Dick LeMaster of Wilkinsvllle, came home from Clemson College last week and placed himself under Dr. Griffith for , treatment of his eyes. The settlement of a half dozen or more cottages built by Mr. H. L. Spears on his property on Meadow street, between Petty street and the Victor Cotton Oil mill, is known as “Ki Town.” Spring Stationery. Hi The Gaffney Lime Company, the new company recently organized in this city, has begun work on its property preparatory to the erection j of its kilns, buildings and a general outfit for mining and burning lime. Yesterday as a colored brakeman attempted to board a shifting train near Buford street crossing, his hold [ slipped and he was thrown to the track, cutting his head very painfully.
