Women Teil Atlanta Detectives of
Their Operations.
Atl;inta, March i<i.—Tlie two white
wom( n who were arrested Monday
nigth on the charge of shoplifting have
given their right namet; to the detec
tives. and one of them has made a
full confession, admitting that she is
a shoplifter and that the goods found
in her trunk were stolen from firms
in Atlanta.
The women are Edith Higgs and
Ellie Rivers, of Charleston, S. C. The
Higgs woman is the younger of the
two and it was she who made a con
fession. When first arrested both wo
men refused to tell who they were
or where they lived.
Tuesday morning they said they
wetfe Mrs. Julia Reeves and Mrs.
Ella Hooper. Later in the day they
admitted they had given wrong names
and then told who they really were.
The women will probably be given
a preliminary trial today.

only one of the countless hundreds w.. .:.i
publishing in the newspapers of this country, the great
ham’s medicine must be admitted hy all; and for the absol.suj.
of female ills no substitute can possibly take its place. Women shou.d t.ear
this important fact in mind when they go into a drug store, and be sure not
to accept anything that is claimed to be “ just as good ” as Lydia E. Pink-
ham's Vegetable Compound, for no other medicine for female ills has
made so many actual cures.
How Another Sufferer Was Cured.
44 Dear Mrs. Pinkham:—I cannot praise your wonderful remedies
enough, for they have done me more good than all the doctors I have
had. For the last eight years and more I suffered with female troubles,
was very weak, could not do my housework, also had nervous pros
tration. Some days I would remain unconscious for a whole day and
night. My neighbors thought I could never recover, but, thanks to
your medicine, I now feel like a dilferent woman.
* I feel very grateful to you and will recommend Lydia E. Pink-
ham's Vegetable Compound to alL It has now been four years since
I had the last spell of nervous prostration. I only weighed ninety-
eight pounds at that time; now I weigh one hundred and twenty-three.
“I consider your Vegetable Compound the finest remedy made.
Thanking you many times for the benefit I received from your medicine,
I remain, i ours truly, Mrs. J. H. Farmer, 2809 Elliott Ave., St. Louis, Mo.
Remember Mrs. Pinkham's advice is free and all sick women
mre foolish if they do not ask for it. She speaks from the widest
experience, and has helped multitudes of women.

above teetimouials, which will prove their absolute genuineness.

Left Two Rabun County Prisoners at
Police Headquarter.
Atlanta, March 1G.—The police are
more than anxious to find E. D. Hen
son., lessee of convicts for Decatur
county, this state. They want the
lessee because he left two convicts at
the police barracks nearly a week
ago and has failed to return for them.
‘‘1 wish to leave these convicts
here,” stated Henson, ‘’and I will go
after others which wo have leased. 1
will be back tomorrow.”
Henson did not return the next day
nor the next, and nearly a week has
passed and he is still absent and the
convicts are still in a cell at police
barracks.
If Henson is not soon found the con
victs will be returned to Rabun coun
ty officials.
•oine Word* of Prulnp Kor the Candy
of Our Diifldiea.
The old style stick candy has red
stripes running around it In spiral
form. The body of the stick is white.
It is slightly flavored with peppermint.
It is very sweet and wholesome. Good
enough for a king! So cheap that the
poorest may have it. Six sticks for 5
cents. Enough to last a family of six
two days. Break a stick in two in the
middle, eat half of it after dinner or
aHer supper if preferred. That is
enough candy for one day. It is good
for children. Keep it in the house.
Away up in the pantry where the chil
dren can’t help themselves. After din
ner is over take it down, break a stick
in two and pass it around. The chil
dren will like it Immensely. They will
like it all the better for not being able
to get too much of it. Never let them
have all they want of it. A half stick
is enough, although a whole stick
might be allowed occasionally. All the
fancy slut? put up in boxes that cost a
dollar or more cannot equal the old
fashioned stick candy. Six sticks of
It contain more solid comfort and more
nutrition than a wagon load of cars
mels and painted bonbons. It Is the
candy of our forefathers. Our grand
mothers used to eat it. Accept no otk
er. Be sure that you get the proper
trademark—red stripes running spiral
ly round the stick. Beware of substi
tutes.—Medical Talk.
Inflammatory Rheumatism Cured.
William Shaffer, a hrakeman of
Dennison, Ohio, was confined to his
bed for several weeks with inflamma

Chamberlain’s Pain Balm, at which
time I was unable to use hand or
foot, and in one week’s time was able
to go to work as happy as a clam.”

Do You Want Strength?
If you want to increase your
strength you must add to and not
take from the physical. In other
words, the food that you eat must be
digested, assimilated and appropri
ated by the nerves, and blood
tissues before being expelled from
the intestines. Kodol Dyspep
sia Cure adds to the physi
cal strength. It gives strength
to and builds up strength in
the human system. It is pleasant to
the taste and palatable, and the only
combination of digestants that will
digest the food and enable the sys
tem to apropriate all of its health
and strength-giving qualities. Sold

Proper Treatment of Pneumonia.
Pneumonia is too dangerous a dis
ease for anyone to attempt to doctor
himself, although he may have the
proper remedies at hand. A physi
cian should be called. It should be
borne in mind, however, that pneumo
nia always results from a coll or
from an attack of the grip, and that
by giving Chamberlain’s Cough Rem
edy the threatened attack of pneumo
nia may be warded off. This remedy
is also used by physicians in the
treatment of pneumonia with the best
results. Dr. W. J. Smith, of Sanders,
Ala., who is also a druggist, says of
it: “I have been selling Chamber

it in my practice for the past six
