Nick Gaffney, a colored man of this city,has been working steadily as a section hand on the Southern Rail way, for twenty years. The many friends in Gaffney of Mr. J. H. Littlejohn regret to learn of his severe illness at his home.at Jones- ville, in Union county. Begin to get pigs for the fall kill ing. While the thermometer was down to 10 Tuesday and Wednesday morn ing’ both days were perfectly clear and calm, and little inconvenience was felt. B. B.
