MILDRED THE HEWITrHING STAR OE MYSTERY. This charming entertainer, inlnr strange presentation entitled Mil- dredism, which is one of the big feat ures in the performances of Mildred and Rouclere, the superb uiyHiitiers. will illustrate her telepathic power by tests and feats in mind reading that are astounding, almost super natural and challenge txplantion. Blindfolded, she will read from any page of any book held by some one ii the audience, tell the value and dale of a coin in your band, number on bank bills, correctly name scores of articles in posessioo of the audie. ee, describe and discover stolen and lo-:! property, locate lost friends and do many other unexplainable things that will make the weird White Mahat mas who traveled through America a few seasons ago look like primary scholars. Anybody in the audience may write the name of a celebrity or well known local character, conceal the paper but keep their mind on what’s written, and Mildred will noi only give the name, occupation and address correctly but cause a counter part, a living likeness of the party in question to apoear momentarily upon the stage. These are but a few of the many wonders developed in the pre sentatiou of the greatest of enter tainment mysteries, Mildredism which will be given here on next Thursday nightlat the Star Theatre. The News and Observer, Raleigh, Dec. 2nd 1 say8:“Mildred and Rouclere can surely entertain. They do not belie their characterization as ‘superb entertainers ’ But they deserve a bigger house than they had last night at the Monumental, for they give a good, clean, up-to-date show that lacks not in excellence and mer it. They should have a larger crowd tonight. “Rouclere, as the adept Manipula tor, introduced some original novel ties that were much appreciated bt the audience last night. The Colo nial Trio, Sherwood, Fox and Warda in pantomine, furnished a glimpse in to other days. The costumes were very rich. Mildred gave a really wonderful exhibition of mind reading and hypnotic suggestion. Cain and Hunter’s comedy musical act was heartily enjoyed. Belmont’s elec trieal fire dance was a feature and made a decided hit. The effects were beautiful, when the flags of the differ ent nations were reflected upon th‘ dancer, while the orchestra played the corresponding national airs. “ I'he illustrated songs werejmagnif- icently sung and the pictures were extia irdinarily handsome. The songs v'ert applauded vigorously for they ere new and nretty. The fi*afa of the Japanese troupe were pi rileus and daring, the Prince Yi’Ufnrkey rope slide being intro* cum* .1 The tmsterious prison was a splendid piece of work.
