In our report of the court proceed* ings in Tuesday’s Ledger, we reversed the attorneys in the case of Healan v-). Westbrook in which a verdict was given for the defendant, naming Hall & Willis for the defendant and But- ler & Osborne for the plaintiff, when we should have said Hall & Willis for plaintiff and Butler & Osborne for the defendant. Tuesday morning the consideration of the case of Smith vs. Harris which was commenced Monday afternoon was resumed and it occupied the time of the court all day Tuesday and Wednesday. It was a hard fought case. Mr Hall, of Hall & Willis, for the plaintiff,contested ably and stren uously for all he claimed for the client and was met at every point b> Butler & Osborne for the defendant The case was given to the jury late in the afternoon of Wednesday and at 6 35 a verdict for the defendant was r turned.
