Mr, Cooper Gets Good Contract.
The Charlotte Chronicle says:
“Mr. L. W. Cooper, of this city,
who has the contract for the con-

A Hadden Call.
Mr. Burt Goings, of the Macedonia
neighborhood, died Friday night of a
congestive chill. Mr. Goings had
been to Gaffney Friday on business,
and the announcemet of his sudden
calling off was a shock to bis numer
ous friends in this community. He
was a quiet, unpretentious man and
bis death was a distinct loss to the
community.
