Mrs. Charles K. Gould, nee Miss

Austin Turner, one of Grassy
Pond’s successful farmers, called on
us Tuesday and renewed his subscrip

A. H. Pollock, a prominent busi
ness man of Blacksburg, was in the
city Tuesday.
Col. T. B. Butler returned yester
day from a business trip to Columbia.
Mrs. 8. A. Daniels, who has been in
the city for a week or more, the guest
of Mrs. C. C. Harris, left Wednesday
lor Union, where she will spend a few
days with relatives and friends before
returning to her home in Alabama.

on his way home from Philadelphia,
where he had been to finish a course in
textile manufacture and to prepare
himself for the superintendency of
the Mary Louise Mills, in Cowpens,
which position he han accepted.
Worth Little, of Charlotte, is in
the city.
