Miss Fannie Littlejohn visited her sister, Mrs. R. A. Jones, this week. SHORT LOCAL ITEMS. Four gallon cows always give less milk after being sold. Mrs. Ida Waters is now nursing a pretty bad case of mumps. Gean Petty, a tenant on Mrs. R. A. Waters’ place, a few miles above the city, killed a mad dog Monday. Counts and children have gone back to Saluda, after hav ing spent some time with her mother, Mrs R. A. Waters, and other rel atives. Ernest Cashion, who was arrested in Arkansas some days ago, charged with getting money some weeks ago at Blacksburg on improper papers, was brought here yesterday and placed in jail. A series of revival services will be gin in the Buford Street Methodist church Sunday evening, and on that account there will be no services in the Limestone Presbyterian nor in the First Baptist churches that even ing. The farmers have been moving this week. Many of them have finished planting cotton and have much of their corn crop planted. The winter oats and wheat which made such a wonderful growth in the winter are looking bad.
