No business can possibly be ^
successful that is not aJver- 7
Used. 7
This is a sweeping statement, •
but it is true. There are some T
merchants in this community *
whose experience apparently
contradicts the statement.
The contradiction, however,
is only apparent. If they have 4
attained any degree of success $
they have advertised. They have ^
let people know what they had to ^
sell, what they were here for and ^
what they proposed to do. Just ?
in proportion to the thorough- 7
ness with which they have done •
this and met the conditions of ^
their competitors they have sue- t
ceec, J. 7
If they have used the newspa-
pers they have worked with the #
best tools ; ^ far as getting pub-
licity is com. erned. If they have £
worked withi the newspapers £
they have been handicapped and ^
have not attained the highest ^
possible measure of success.
A fertile seed plar'ed in fertile
ground, carefully x atered, will thrive
and Lear fruit.
A properly organized business,
in any inhabited place, well advertised
will succeed. The ’ aw of
growth is as certain and inexorable in
one case as the other.

prohibiting them from practicing tor

The Indians are excited, and the
