tary. Dr. Hamrick asked that his

It was moved aod seconded that
the chairman of each township dele-
' gation compose the committee on
credentials. The motion was carried.
; The committee, with J. B. Bell as
chairman, retired and enrolled the
1 delegates, returned aod reported. The
report of the committee was adopted.
It was announced that nominations
for county chairman were in order.
T. B Butler and Wm. Jefferies were
nominated. The nominations were
closed aod the election entered into,
which resulted in the election of Mr.
Butler as county chairman for two
years, and upon nomination, J. B.
Bell was elected chairman for the
same term
The chair requested the chairman
of each club to furnish the secretary
with the names of the executive com
mittee of each club.
The election for vice chairman was
entered into. R E. Porter, E. A.
Trescot, M. M. Tate aod W. A. Mc
Whorter were nominated. The elec
tion wae held by a rising vote and M.
M. Tate waa elected.
The next bueinees in order was the
election of a State executive commit- 1
teeman. W. 8 Hall, Jr., J. C. Otta
aod J. Q Little were Dominated. The
election wae held by a rising vote and
Mr. Little was elected.
On motion of N. W. Hardin a com
mittee of six one from each township,
was appointed to nominate delegatee
to the 8tste convention. Tbe com-

The committee retired and selected

vention and they were unanimously
elected.

10th inst , is all tbe talk now. Thor
ough preparations are being made for
it. Bale of season tickets closed
Saturday and exceeded the most san
guine expectationa. Single tickets
are still on sale and are being bought
rapidly. Some season tickets are be
ing reserved by request.

abated interest. Rev. A. M. Chreitz-
berg conducted tbe services Sunday.
Tbe Rev. H. F. Cbrietzberg was at
bia own church in Gastonia, X. C.,
Sunday, but returned to tbe city yes
terday afternoon and preached one of
bisatrong sermons last night. The
meeting will continue some days yet.
