Buffalo, April 11.—Ere a few
more days and the farmers will be
sowing the seeds of poverty—cotton
seed. They impoverish their lands
and stomachs too.
Mr. W. S. Byars, of Gaffney, took
dinner with “Bachelor" today and
some young ladies too—but I’ll not
tell their names for fear that onr
other sweethearts might get jealons.
If frost don’t kill all my peaches,
cherries, apples, pears, plumbs and
grapes, I expect the young ladies to
call on me rather frequently this
summer but just let me tell you, girls,

was stirred up like a mad lion over
my last article, and is threatening to
come over here to investigate the
mutter. Come on Prof , I’ll face all 1
have ever written. You will find
things pretty rotten. The ugly
rumors that have sprung up in the
connection with the school are a
disgrace to Buffalo school, Buffalo
church and Chen kee county.
