The ^following circular has been issued to county Democratic Clubs by the secretary of the State Demo cratic Executive Committee: “To the Democrats of South Caro lina: For the benefit of the Demo cratic voters in reorganizing the Democratic party this year the fol lowing information is given : The State Democratic executive committe has instructed the county chairmen to issue a call for a meeting of the respective township and ward clubs to be held on the fourth Satur day in April. When convened these clubs shall each have a distinct title, “The Democratic Club,” and shall elect a president, one or more vice presidents, a recording and a corresponding secretary, and shall have the following working commit tees of not less than three members each: A committee on registration, an executive committee and such other committees as may be deemed expedient. Each club shall elect a member of the county executive committee, under the control of which the clubs shall be held to gether and operate. The county executive committee shall elect its own officers, except the chairman, who shall be elected by the Conven tion. These officers need not neces sarily be members of the comm'ttee. The clubs shall elect delegates to the County Convention—one delegate for each twenty five members and one delegate for a majority fraction thereof. The County Convention, when assembled, shall be called to order by the chairman of the executive com mittee and the County Convention shall proceed to nominate and elect from among its members a president, one or more vice presidents, a secre tary and treasurer and shall be held on the first Monday in May. The Convention shall elect dele gates to the State Convention, each county being entitled to double the number of delegates as it has mem bers of the General Assembly. The State Convention has been called to meet on the third Wednesday in May in the city of Columbia at 12 m. Each County Convention must, at the meeting on the first Monday in May, elect a member of the State Democratic executive committee. Each county delegation to a State Convention shall have power to fill any vacancy therein. The State Convention shall be called to order by the chairman of the State Demo cratic executive committee. A tem porary ebarimau shall be elected by the Convention and when organized shall elect a president, vice president from each Congressional district, two secretaries and a treasurer. U. X. The revival meeting at Limestone Street Metboiist church is still going od. The attendance is good and much interest is being manifested. The pastor is being ably assisted by Rev. T. Grigsby Herbert, pastor of Green Avenue church in Greenville. Mr. Herbert is devoted to bis work and is a preacher of ability. We were pleased to have a call from him yes terday. The county board of education met in the auditor's office Tuesday, and transacted a great deal of business. The board will meet again next Mon day. The duties of this board involve an immense amount of particular work, and we are glad to see that it is not running over it hastily, but is giving to it the time its importance demands. A Solution of the Problem. Our young friend Harry Wilkins has handed us an answer to ‘ J L. S.’s” problem in last Tuesday’s Led ger. The result of Harry’s calcula tion is, that three men can do the work in sixteen hours.
