Tlie Cheapest Store in the State. J. C. Ratliff, Rrop. CONFIDENCE is not established in a day. It Requires Time. THE OLD STORES are like men—usually those suc ceed who deserve success. No business depends so much on the confidence of the public as that of the druggist. It should be so. The business lies so close to the health and lives of people, that there should be no doubt as to the reliability of goods offered, or as to the skill and accuracy of the druggist. Our store has enjoyed the con fidence of the public for many years, the same persons patron ising us year after year. Our specialty has always been the careful filling of prescrip tions and recipes. We insure safe drugs, safe compounding and safe prices. CHEROKEE DRUG CO. Tax Notice. The payment of commutation tax has been extended to May 15th, IMIS, without penalty. Two Bright PartlcnlarStaru.KIeeto Gifford, Soprano, Md Holme* Cowper, Tenor. The bright particular star of tba Festival In tbs minds of many of tbs patrons will bs Elscta Gifford, tbs famous prima donna colorature so prano. Otbsr minds ars bound to bold in admiring rsmsmbrance the singing of tbs renowned tenor who will ap pear, Mr. Holmes Cowper. In de scribing Mr. Cowper’s singing, even in student daye, the newspapers used an unlimited number of superlatives. Such soul stirring music did be produce in early youth that the great est musicisns of Europe sst spell bound when be began to sing. Every where audiences filled hie arms with palm branches, crowned his long, golden curls with laurel, and filled his pockets with boxes of candy. Sometimes he would not know what to do with the palm and laurel, but he alwaye found a place for the candy. Holmes Cowper is a pro gressive artist, and all of the predic tions of bis youth have been amply fulfilled. So eminent an artist, with a sweet, even tenor voice clear, pure and up to B, will meke the occasion of his appearence resplendent with iridescent musical effulgence. WITH THE SINNERS.
