O-borne had with drawn from the race for mayor of Gaffney. That the news was a sur prise to everybody goes without say ing, after his own announcement in Tuesday's Ledger that he was in the race to the finish. This step was taken by Mr Osborne only after care ful aod mature deliberation, he be lieving it the best course for him to pursue. His withdrawal leaves Mr Little and Mr Jones to fight the “bat le f the ballot's” between themselves, and the friends of both are confident that their man will win.
