wi 1 b,- of real good to them. For
this reason we want to acquaint them
with wnat we coneid r one of the very
best remedv on the market for coughs,
colds, and that alarming complaint,
croup, we refer to Chamberlain s
Cough Remedy. Wo have used it
with such good resuls in our family

we haven’t any doubt but that it has
time and again prevented croup.
The testimony is given upon our own
experience, and we suggest that our
readers, especially those who have
email children, always keep it in their
homes as a safeguard against croup »

Opened Yesterday and Is Drawing Crowds
of Bargain Hunters
The “Monster Mill-find Sale” which
wa/advertised to take place at O. E.
Wilkins’ store from Feb. 1‘Jch to
March 6th, inclusive, opened up on
time yesterday morning, and not
withstanding the snow and siusb un
der foot, and the snow, ruin aud
sleet overhead, crowds flocked t0 tbe
sale, and from morning till night Mr.
Wilkins’ establishment was thronged
with a multitude of eager buyers.
A large ,iorce of clerks bad been en
gaged for the occason, and they were
taxed to their utmost capacity to
wait upon the numerous “bargain
hunters ”
Mr. Wilkins closed bis store Wed
nesday in order to mark the goods
for this sale and to make all neces
sary preparations for the opening
yesterday morning. One of the feu
tures attacneo to the Mill-End
Sale” that attracted considerable at
tention, was the huge "elephant
that went through the city Wednes
day afternoon, under the supervision
of Mr. A. B Gaines, with large pos
ters on “his” sides announcing tie
opening of the Mill Eod. Ihe ‘el--
phaur,” was ‘such a clever imitation,
coat only close inspection could d- -
tecr *he counterfeit.
The Mill End s?ale opened under
Hie personal management of Col. M
Wilber Dyer, the originator of the
schera and will c mtinue daily until
Saturday night, March 6:h. the
sight presented at the sale yes
terday was quite an object lesson in^
advertising. If any one in this
who doesn’t bel^va that advertising
[jays could "have seen the crowd come
trooping ibr ugh the mud. rain, s'eet
and snow to the Mill-End Sale yes
terday morning, he would have at |
once thrown asid- all pr judices snd
professed unbounded fuitn in the vir
tue of printer’s ink.
The sale D quite a departure in
Gaffney’s “busy mart.” and th. r: is
no doubt but that it will be well
patronized.

Tne Only Sale Way la to Heed the Warning. Jobnaton’a Sarsaparilla ”
is tbe Most Powerful Blood Purifier Known.
Nature, in her effortu to correct mistakes, which mistakes have come from
earele^ living, or it may be from ancestors, shoots out pimples, blotches and
other imperfections on the skin, as a warning that more serious troubles (per
haps tuiiiors, cancers, erysipelas or pulmonary diseases) are certain to follow if
you neglect to heed the vyarning 1 and correct the mistakes.
Many a lingering, painful disease and many an early death has been avoided
simply because these notes of warning have been heeded and the blood kept
pure by a right use of JOHNSTON'S SARSAPARILLA.
Miss Abhie J. Rande, of Marshall, Mich., writes:
“I was cured of a bad humor after suffering with it for five years. The
doctors and my friends said it was salt rheum. It came out on my head, neck
and ears, and then on my whole body. I was perfectly raw with it. What I
suffered during those five years, is no use telling. Nobody would believe me if
I did. I tried every medicine that was advertised to cure it. I spent money
enough to buy a house. I heard JOHNSTON’S SARSAPARILLA highly
praised. I tried a bottle of it. I began to improve right away, and when I had
finished the third bottle I was completely cured. I have never had a touch of it
since. I never got any thing to do me the least good till I tried JOHNSTON’S
SARSAPARILLA. I would heartily advise all who are suffering from humors
or skin disease of any kind to try it at once. I had also a pood deal of stomach
trouble, and was run down and miserable, but JOHNSTON'S SARSAPARILLA
made me all right.”
The blood is your life and if you keep it pure and strong vou can positively re
sist disease or face contagion fearlessly. JOHNSTON’S SARSAPARILLA never
fails. It is for sale by all druggists, in full quart bottles at only one dollar eaclk
