Just ns the mellow light of evening
tide was giving way to darkness on
Wednesday the reddenct of Mr. and
Mrs. Jerry Bryant, on North Lime
stone street in this city, was the
scene of a pretty and quiet home
wadding, when Mr. Claude Coffey and
Alias Emma Bryant were united in
the holy bonds of matrimony. The
solemn but beautiful ceremony was
pronounced by Rev. Wm. R. Potter,
pastor of Limestone Presbyterian
church. The parlor was tastefully
decorated and was filled to overflow
ing with the friends of the happy
young couple who had gathered to
witness the ceremony. The minister
took his stand in the middle of the
room, having as a background the as
sembled guest®. The attendants,
Mr. Wade Tillotson and Miss Maggie
Byant, a sister of the bride, and Sir.
Charles Hall and Miss Liza Little,
preceded the bride and groom and
took their stand on either side of the
minister; then entered the bride and
groom. The ceremony was a pretty
one and at its conclusion a blessing
was pronounced, after which came
the congratulations to the happy
pair.
The newly wedded couple left on
the 7:30 train for Shopton, N. C.,
where they go to spend their honey
moon with the parents of Mr. Coffey.

came here a little more than a year

The bndo is the eldest daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bryant and is uni
versally loved by all who know her.
Her friends will regret to give her up,
but she carries with her their best
wishes for a life free from cares and
unmarred by adversities.
Mr. and Mrs. Coffey will make
Gaffney their future home

College in South Carolina have reach
ed this office which show decided ad
vance over anything formerly possi
ble in that quarter. One has among
its selections the Brahms Rphasody
in Gnuinor, Op. 79, No. 2. and the
Intermezzo in E Hat major, the slum
ber song, Op. 117, No. 1. Also the
Beethoven Moonlight’ sonata. Chop
in Scherzo in B minor, etc. Another
contains Grieg’s On the Mountains,’
Beethoven's Op. 20, some Chopin
Ipieces etc. The former was played

latter by Miss Georgie Steedly.”

Mrs. Ann Inman, an elderly and
most worthy lady died at her home
near Gcwdysville on the 4th, Inst.,
of pneumonia and was buried at
Skull Shoals church on the 5th. Mrs
Inman was the mother of Mr. Smith
Inman, who, with her many relatives
and friends, have our sympathy.
