Holloway, secre tary of The State Agricultural and Mechanical Society, has issued the following circular to the farmers of the State, and we trust that Chero kee farmers will furnish a big delega tion to represent our little and new but progressive county at this im portant meeting: Pomaria, S. C., Jan. 2nd, 1902. j The spring meeting of the above Society will be held in the audito rium on the Expobition Grounds, Charleston, on the 5th day of Feb ruary next, at 12 o’clock M. In consequence of this meeting, this day has been set aside by the Expo sition authorities as “Farmers’ Day,” and the general attendance of the farmers of the State is expected. In addition to the interest attach ing to the meeting and the Exposi tion, the Good Roads Convention will convene in Charleston on the 3d and continue through the 7th, Feb ruary next, and those attending the meetings of the Society can also take in the meetings of the Good Roads Congress. This will be quite an in teresting convention and one well worth the attendance of all farmers. All members are urgently invented to attend. New Konte to Charleitton. The S C. A G. Extension has put on a fast passenger train between GaiTney and Charleston, Columbia and all points on the Atlantic Coast Line, via Camden and Sumter. The train leaves Gaffney at 10:40 a. m. and arrives in Charleston at 5:10 p. m. This is the shortest and quickest route to the Charleston Exposition. For further information apply to E.
