Constable W. L. J. MeAbee, of
Grindall, was in the city Friday on

Jones were the guest s of Mr. and
Mrs. \V H. Dempsy last Sunday.
M. W. Brown, a prosperous young
merchant of Ravenna, came to the
city Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Hughes made a
visit the first of last week to Mr.
Hughes’ parents near Antioch. Mr
Hughes says he had a good time,
plenty of birds to shoot and much
pleasure with his parents and old
neighbors.
John B. Brown, & promiaet planter
of Ravenna, was in Gaffney Friday,
Fred Garvin, a bright young Chero-
keean of Corinth, paid The Ledger a
visit Saturday. Mr. Garvin brought
in some fine specimens of manganese
ore which abounds on bis farm, to be
sent to the Charleston Exposition.
