The Pretty Home Weddles; of a Charming
Gaffney Lady.
A quiet but pretty marriage wa8
celebrated Wednesday at 1 o’clock at
the home of Mr. W F. McArthur.
The Dride, Miss Bell Scott, is the
second daughter of Mrs W. F. Mc
Arthur, and is a yonng lady of charm
ing grace and manner, and her friends
are numerous as was expressed by the
many elegant tokens of love received.
In a bridal gown of chiffon ovt-r
silk,elaborately trimmed in ribbon and 1
laee, with the folds of her bridal veil,
she presented a picture of rare love
liness.
The groom is a rising young physi
cian of upper Cherokee county, and
is to be congratulated on the prize he
has won.
After an elegant repast Mr. and
Mrs. McKinney left for their home at
Brooklyn.

Our thanks are due, and hereby
tendered, Mr. Charlie Littlejohn, one
of our Asbury friends, for some hand
some turnips sent us Wednesday
They weighed nearly three pounds
each, and we understand that Mr.
Littlejohn has many more of the
same kind, having raised a good crop
of them We always appreciate such
substantial evidence of the esteem
and good will of our friends and
patrons.
