(AH t'oiiimunlcations to this column should !»«■ addressed to 1’. O. Rox INI.) Street gowns of corduroy are to be i very much worn, and when trimmed with fur and worn with a hlou-u of white sa'.in or lace are inarvelouslt fetching. A nobby one is made in gray after this style: The skirt is tight and has a habit hack fa-dined at the side of the front with flat sil ver buttons. A nice Hare is arranged at tiie foot by means of a double flounce, showing a pleated frill of siiK underneath. The short Eton hangs perfectly loose and fastens I across the breast with a large silver j clasp. The coat is collarless and i with it can he worn a Hat collar of the same or one of yellow lace some thing which would harmonize smartly #ith the tone of the velvet. The waist belt contrasting with the gown is not in favor ju t now; a belt to match the ,skira and bodice is better liked. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Miss Bessie Hammett, of Spartan burg. is a guest at the home of Mr. W.
