And How It
Should Be Treatod.
Dandruff Is a scurf which forms on the
scalp or skin of the head, and comes off in
small scales or dust. It Is the popular name
for a disease of t he scalp. The primary seat
ot this disease Is the outer skin, but in the
advanced stage it attacks the hair follicles
and destroys th' vitality. When it appears
in moderate quantities may signify nothing;
but If there Is an excess of It, if the head is
covered with the small white scales, it is
evidence of a disease of the scalp. This di
sease should Is* arrested and the dandruff re
moved. for. if neglected, the hair will soon
t>egin to fall out.
The falling out of the hair is the source of
much anxiety, especially to ladles, and the
nostrums used as cures are very numerous,
the most of them hastening, rather than re-
taiding. the falling out.
The loss of the hair may bo the result of
s'line disease, or it may be brought about by
dandruff, negligence in keeping the scalp
clean, or by the use of greasy md rancid oils
or p imades. Unless the falling out of the
hair is checked baldness will surely follow
Of course. It is self-evident, if the hair roots
are completely destroyed, it is beyond all
hope to find a remedy But it frequently
occurs that the roots are not dead, that they
merely lack the strength to send forth new
hair. Where this Is the case Magnetic Hair
Tonic will Invigorate and strengthen the
roots, enabling them to again produce an
abundance of healthy hair. For lids purpose
Magnetic Hair Tonic should be used regular
ly every other day. (The scalp should lx*
washed well with pure tar soap and warm
water once a week.)
It does just what an efficient remedy must
do it rids the seal)) of all dandruff or humor,
it then softens the scalp and insures circula
tion. and by tills means Increases the nutri
tion of the hair follicles. Tt Is an elegant and
nicely perfumed preparation. It contains no
sugar of lead, nitrate of silver, or other pois
onous chemicals.
We Ixdieve Magnectic Hair Tonic will do all
that we claim for It. We have such faith in
it that we hack It with our guarantee, if*
after giving it a fair trial, you are not sat-
islb’d with It, return the bottle and we will
cheerfully refund the purehuse price.
