Ann Littlejohn, familiarly known
as “Aunt Ann,” died at her home on
Thickety last Monday night. “Aunt
Ann” was said to have been 102
years of age. Sho was very, very
old. Hha had lived on Thickety with
the Littlejohn family all her life.
She nursed Mr. Samuel Littlejohn,
who died in September, 1S!)S, at
the ago of ninetyone years. “Aunt
Ann” was famous in her day
and time for her good cooking
and was regarded as one of the
best that her section aifonbd. She
was a faithful servant and was
: loved by all who knew her. There
are a large number of Littlejohns in
this section who are proud to claim
her as their “old black mammy.”
May her reward be that of the just.
