J.ast Friday the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Landrum Ross, who live near
Furies, X. C., was killed by being
struck by lightning. All the cloth
ing was torn from tho little fellow's
body except the wrist bands, and the
side of tiio body was terribly burned
by the lightning.
The Shelby Aurora gives the fol
lowing account of the sad affair:
“On Friday afternoon about :»:3t(
o’clock the little five year old son of

grief stricken parents our deepest
sympathy in this sad dispensation of
Providence. May He comfort and
sustain them.”
