It Matters Not How Ob
stinate, or What Other
Remedies Have Failed.
Obstinate sores and ulcers, which
refuse to heal under ordinary treat
ment, soon become chronic and deep-
seated, and lead to conditions most
serious. They are caused in different
ways, but in every case the blood is
involved, and no amount of local treat
ment can have any effect. The poison
must be eliminated from the blood
before a cure can be had.
THROWN FROM A HORSE.
Mr. H. Kuhn, of Marlon, Kansas, writes:
•‘About three years ago my gramidaughter.Uer-
tha Whltwood, was thrown from a horse, rr-
cciving a wound of the scalp. Though under
ttie treatment of physicians forseveral months,
the wound remained about the same, until it
finally became very ongry looking, and broke
out into a running
sore. This soon spread
to other parts of tho
scalp and ran down the
side of the neck.increas
ing in severity .and fear
fully disfiguring tier.
She was then placed un-
der the care of the fac-
RWfgg ulty of a well-known
hospital, but even the
-L-'-KEg treatment she received
there failed toarrest the
-7*-* terrible sore. Reading
' * //¥> of the many cures of
- / blood troubles effected
by 8. S. S.. we decided to
try It. and it relieved ht-'r promptly. In a few
months she was entirely cured, and scarcely
a mark now remains where the disease held
full sway.”
A\
A GUNSHOT WOUND.
rapt. .T. IT. McRrayer, ttie well-known dis
tiller, oi Lawreuceburg, Ky., says:
‘•Rome years ago I was shot in tho left leg’
receiving what i considered only a slight
wound. It developed
Into a running sore and
gave me a great deal
of pain and inconven
ience. I was treated
by many doctors and
took a number of blood
remedies, but none did
me any good and dia
not seem to check the
progress of the sore. I “ '

and forced the poison
out of my blood: soon
afterwards the sore healed np and was cured
sound and well. I am sure S. s. S. is by tar
the best blood remedy made.”
It matters not how they are acquired
or what treatment lute failed, S. S. S.
will euro the most obstinate, deep-
seated sore or ulcer. It is r.-eless to
expect local treatment of salvos, lo
tions, etc., to eTeot a cure, because
they can not reach the real cause of the
trouble, which is tho blood. S. S, S.
drives out every trace of impurity in
the blood, and in this way icnres per
manently the worst cases. It is the
only blood remedy guaranteed
Purely Vegetable
and contains not a particle cf potash,
mercury, or other mineral. S. S. S.
cures Contagious Blood Poison, Scrof
ula, Cancer, Catarrh, Eczema, Rheu
matism, Sores, Ulcers, Boils, or any
other blood trouble. Valuable books
on these diseases will be mailed free
to any address, by the Swift Speciiic
Company, Atlanta, Georgia.

By Carroll & Carpenter.
There is a «;ood doal of comiil'iint these days about hard times.
The trutli is, times ars as eood now as they ever were. We are
too prone to lind lault with our surroundings. We spend too
niueli money on foolish things and for those things we might
well do without. The stock carried by Carroll tfc Carpenter
contains nothing hut real values and all the necessaries of life.
When you spend a dollar with them you get the full value of
your money, and it is only with such honest dealings ami strict
attention to details that times will he made easier for the pur
chasing world. Remember
