The September term of court con-
veoed Monday. Dp to the hour of
going to press but few cases
had been disposed of. the principal
one being that of Lum Morris for the
murder of Ed Harris. Morris was
found guilty and recommended to
the mercy of fce court.

quite ill with typhoid fever at her
home in this city, has been able to

companied by her son, Muster Willie.
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Lotspeich re
turned to the city last week from
Warrensburg, Tenn., where they have
been visiting several month*. They

Wedded in Baltimore.
Mr. Julian W. Lipscomb, left last
Saturday for Baltimore, where he
goes to wed Miss Kate Noble, ibe
charming young lady who has had
charge of Mesrs. Cunoll A Carpenter’s
millinery department for the past
three seasonss. Miss Noble is a
beautiful and accomplished young
lady and one whom Gaffney will be
proud to claim as a citizen. Mr.
Lipscomb is well known here as an
upright gentleman and thorough
business man and we wish for the
happy couple a long and happy life
and much prosperity. The cermoney
took place at the home of the bride
in Baltimore yesterday.
