Mayor Wood has let tlie contract
to L. Baker for a new two-story brick
store-house to be built next to Mr.
Wood’s bank. The lower floor will
be used for a store-room while the
- upper floor will contain six handsome
i rooms. Mr. Wood is one of the most
progressive men in town, and Gaff
ney owes much of her present pros
perous condition to his untiring ef
forts.
On next Sunday morning the Pas-
| tor of the First Baptist church will

Holy Spirit or in other words the
Baptism of the Holy Spirit in his ex-
: edition work, and Sunday evening on
the sins against the Holy Spirit. This
