Our New Railroad.
Some weeks ago the (). R. C.
^ railway proposed to build a branch
of that road from Blacksburg to this
place on certain conditions. The
I conditions were considered most
favorable to us and were eagerly ac-
eeptul by our people. There how
ever seems to be some hitch in the
wheels and if it can be remedied by
any man or set of men in this city or
out of it who has one dollar’s worth
of interest here, that remedy should
i be applied at once and the obstacle
removed. Other points interested are
anxious to know what Gaffney intends
to do.
