Mrs. Katie Austell has Gone to Meet
Her Reward.
Mrs. Katie Austell, beloved wife of
(lie lute Win. Austell, died at the
Ionic of her son, William, Sunday
night in her eighty-third year. Mrs.
Austell was a consecrated Christian
woman and universally loved by all
who knew her. She was a member
of the baptist church, ami her devo-

with Him can give. Mrs. Austell

To Build a Church.
At a tea given Wednesday evening
to several of the leading spirits in the

mined to endeavor to raise a fund
with which to erect a now church

A House Burned.
A house on the property of J. A.
Carroll, several miles from the city,
was destroyed by tire Sunday. It
was occupied by Jeir Morris, col. All
