Methodist Churcii at this iilace being
in need of funds to pay for painting

and have succeeded admirably. A
few weeks ago they gave an enter
tainment in the school house. The
program consisted of songs, recita
tions and dialogues. An admission
fee of ten cents was charged and
quite a nice little sum realized. The
ladies of the church had also pieced
a crazy quilt, which was sold on the
same evening for .ft).00, the highest
bidder being W. M. Webster. The
news of our success was wafted to
our sister towns, Glendale and <’lif-
ton, and they very kindly invited us
to visit them, soon Thursday night
last they made the trip to Glendale
