IX. The present Protective Tariff robs the many for the benefit of the few. The duties on imports should be decreased, and an oar'y repeal of the duty on cotton ties, on the machinery used in tho man ufacture of cotton and wool, and on tools and agricuTfurianmJIcincuts will stimu late manufactures and be a welcome re lief to tho farmer and laborer.
